Hallo,
ich habe ein Problem. Ich habe an meinen Falcon ein Externes SCSI-ROM angeschlossen. Als Treiber nutze ich Metados aber leider wird es nicht richtig erkannt.
Ich habe die config.sys angepaßt, er erkennt auch das CD-ROM aber er meint das dies kein Disk/Festplatte ist.
Dieses CD-ROM lief allerding in meinem TT einwandfrei.
Kann mir jemand einen Tip geben, eventuell einen anderen Treiber.

Guck mal auf meiner Seite bei den Downloads - da sind unterschiedliche Treibervarianten für unterschiedliche Rechner.
Oder besorg Dir die CD-Tools.

er meint das dies kein Disk/Festplatte ist.
Vielleicht, weil da keine Disk-Festplatte drin ist? Bei mir hat das einlegen eines Scheibchens diesen Fehler mal behoben.

das habe ich auch schon versucht, aber momentan habe ich ein Hardware Problem (netzteil defekt)
Muß ich morgen erstmal beheben.

Das läuft,
es war das Externe SCSI Kabel, das hatte einen Defekt. Neues ran und gut.

wie läuft denn das CD Rom an deinem Rechner.
Hast du nur an einem Rechner ein CD Rom angeschlossen ?
Ich hatte immer kleine Probleme in diesem Bereich. Und zwar lege ich eine CD ein, klicke das Laufwerksfenster auf und dann bekomme ich ein leeres Fenster.
Wenn ich die CD nochmal auswerfe, wieder einlege und dann "ESC" drücke ist alles in Ordnung. Alles Dateien und Ordner sind da usw.

das gleiche Problem habe ich bei meinem TT, aber nur im SingelTOS unter Mint habe ich keine Problem. Weiß aber nicht wieso und weshalb. Da ich aber nur unter Mint Arbeite ist mir das eigenltich egal..

wie ist es mit IDE CD Rom Laufwerken am Falcon, Atari TT oder Mega STE, STE oder dem normalen Atari ST ?

Naja, ich habe ja an meinem Mega ST ne Ide Schnittstelle auf dem Multboard, ich habe aber noch keinen treiber gefunden der IDE Cd-Roms anspechen kann.

number (ACSI: 0, SCSI: 1, IDE: 2), `T' the target device number
(0..7), `D' the device LUN (0..7) and `S' the partition number

also mit BetaDOS komme ich überhaupt nich klar, das habe ich wieder gecancelt.
Sicher das Metados das kann, ich denke der kann nur ACSI und SCSI oder doch nicht ::)

verstehe ich schon ...
Ich bekomme selten mal einen lustigen Anruf oder bin immer damit zugange
damit in den/die Spam Ordner meiner vielen eMail Adressen zu gucken, ob da
nicht doch mal eine Mail bei ist.
Wenn ich schlecht drauf bin wird auch schonmal ohne
gucken der Spam Ordner gelöscht.
